Amanda Levin-Russo DVM
Dr. Amanda Levin-Russo hails from south Texas in a small town just outside of Houston. She is a 2010 graduate of Texas A&M University, having majored in Biomedical Sciences and minored in Business. She traveled to the "Great Northern Tundra" for veterinary school and completed her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine at Iowa State University in 2014. While attending vet school, Dr Levin was introduced to alternative medicine therapies where she fell in love with integrative practices and vowed to pursue additional training in these modalities once the timing was right.
After returning to Texas to be closer to family, Dr Levin began practicing at a mixed animal hospital where she immersed into the profession and began to perfect both the science and art of practicing veterinary medicine. Several years - and a few veterinary clinics later - she finally determined it was time to pursue her dream and thus, enrolled into the Acupuncture Certification (CVA) program at the Chi Institute in Reddick Florida in the Spring of 2019.
Needless to say, it was because of this momentous decision that Dr Levin was introduced to both Dr. Grand and the Master's Degree program in Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine. Upon completing her CVA coursework, Dr Levin officially became a part time associate at the Animal Care center @ Stonebridge Ranch as well as a full time Master's student in TCVM. She hasn't looked back since and is looking forward to all the knowledge she can glean from her mentors!
Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr Levin enjoys practicing yoga, photograohy, watching Texas A&M/Iowa State athletics, and traveling internationally whenever the opportunity arises. She lives with her husband, Evan, and their two adorable pets: Mischa, a black domestic shorthair cat, and Orli, a Blue Heeler mix cross.
